IT Department

The IT department here at Veritas was moved about a month ago from the main office to our "second" office. The main office was getting quite cluttered, so the move made sense. At first, we were a little apprehensive. After all, you know the general image people have of IT offices... cramped cubicles, no windows, just a bunch of people working away at computers, no sounds but the tapping of keys. Something like this:

While there are indeed a bunch of people working away at computers, the similarities end there. Sometimes, the office will fill with song. You can't go a day without hearing some funny story. And we have windows. Oh do we have windows. In fact, we need blinds on some of those windows, because the glare really gets to you. [EDIT: Finally got blinds!]

But those are the side windows. We have those full sliding windows, leading out to our patio, just like the other office. And we have an equally awesome view.

A View to a Thrill

I generally don't like to boast about my job. Firstly, it goes against all of my hip/jaded sensibilities; secondly, it usually comes off as insincere - my paycheck and I have become quite attached and I would likely say anything to keep it that way. But, at the risk of losing all of my "hard-earned" hipness and credibility, I'm going to make the following announcement: Veritas Prep has the best view in test prep!

I literally mean that our office in Malibu has one of the greatest views known to man. Our terrific view is right up there with the best of them: Machu Pichu, Everest, Eiffel Tower, Grand Canyon ...

Rather than try and describe the majesty of our view, I’m going to share it with you (see above).
