Google Business!

Google is about to enter into Microsoft's realm, and they're not treading lightly. Google plans to announce their new collection of business tools, which would be in direct competition to Microsoft's business suite. And best of all, Google is providing theirs for FREE (though they plan to introduce a special version for a fee at a later date).

We use Google's blogging software, which is pretty cool, so I personally expect these new business tools (including a spreadsheet and word processing application) to be pretty useful as well.

Nike's Gift of $105 Million

Philip Knight, founder of Nike, has just set a record for largest single donation to a business school. He has pledged $105 million to Stanford, to aid in the construction of their new business school complex, appropriately named the Knight Management Center. Knight earned his master's degree in business administration from Stanford in 1962. He has already made several smaller donations to the business school, but cites this as a "once-in-a-lifetime chance to give back to the school."
